Our Christian Care Board encourages and supports the efforts of individuals and small groups who provide physical, emotional and spiritual help to our members and the larger community in time of need.
Cancer Companions walk with those coping with cancer (present and past) and their family members and friends. They provide safe, supportive environments for cancer families to draw closer to Christ.
Cancer Companions meet on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm at the church. For more information, please contact the church office (785) 539-2604.
After the 8:30 service, our Parish Nurses are available to take blood pressures and answer questions.
Lutheran Church Charities established the Lutheran Early Response Teams (LERT) to provide disaster-preparedness training and certification. L.E.R.T. volunteers are put on call when disaster strikes and may be asked to deploy in response. St. Luke’s has a group of people that has been trained in L.E.R.T.
